Will The Lake Show Outbeat The Heat?

Christmas Day tomorrow will be filled with many exciting NBA games, one of them includes the match up between two time defending NBA Champs, the Los Angeles Lakers going up against the big three of the Miami Heat. A very high anticipated game between the two teams, many expecting it to be a "measurement" for the Miami Heat, well as for the Lakers, just another big game. Kobe Bryant said he doesn't feel the Lakers are anywhere where they would like to be right now, on the other side LeBron James says no matter what happens it will not determine the outcome of any of the teams. Tune in 5:00pm ET to watch the Los Angeles Lakers face off against the Miami Heat on ABC.

Week 16 NFL Predictions!

With the NFL coming down to its last two weeks in the regular season, things are starting to get heated up for the playoffs and who's in who's out arguments. However, there still is two games left and anything can happen. I have made my week 16 NFL predictions for top four games of the week.

The New York Jets came through to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in a must win game last week and I believe they will do the same against a exploding Chicago Bears defense. Jets win 24-17.

The NFC West is up for grabs for all of the teams in the division. The Seahawks are 6-8, the Rams are 6-8, and the 49ers are 5-9, I have the San Fransisco 49ers beating the St. Louis Rams in a close game, 17-14. Making them tied with the Rams and if the Seahawks lose to the Tampa Bay Bucaneers than all three teams will be tied, its confusing isn't it?

The Giants are coming off a thrilling upset against divisional rivals, Philadelphia Eagles. Aaron Rodgers is back for the Green Bay Packers after suffering a concussion. I have the Green Bay Packers winning this one 20-10.

The defending Super Bowl Champions, New Orleans Saints lost last week against the Baltimore Ravens and have to face, divisional rival and arguably the best team in the NFC, the Atlanta Falcons. Falcons win this one with their explosive passing and running balanced offense, 27-24

Going For 89!

Tonight at 7 PM ET on ESPN 2, Geno Auriemma and the Women's Connecticut Huskies seek to win their 89th consectutive win. They are currently tied for the most consecutive wins by any college sport team, with the '74 UCLA mens basketball team, who was coached by John Wooden. Tonight the Huskies face off against Florida State seeking to break the record. Coach Geno Auriemma said "The reason why everyone is having a heart attack the last four or five days is a bunch of women are threatening to break a men's record" he later went on and said "If we were breaking a women's record, everybody would go, 'Aren't those girls nice.' Just give them two paragraphs in USA Today or give them one line on the bottom of ESPN, and let's send them back where they belong in the kitchen. But because we are breaking a men's record, we have a lot of people paying attention." Sounds like Geno is ready to take on Florida State! Good luck to the lady Huskies!!!

Miracle in the Meadowlands!

Coming in to the 4th quarter the New York Giants seem to have had the game in a bag just ready to close it, but with the Philadelphia Eagles' explosive offense, you never know what may happen! Trailing in the 4th quarter by 21 points the Philadelphia Eagles stunningly scored 28 points in 7:18. The last touchdown coming from a 65-yard punt return by Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson with :00 on the clock. In a amazing comeback the Philadelphia Eagles go up one game in the division, and could clinch the division with either a Eagles win or a Giants loss.

Could This Be The End?

A few weeks ago Brett Favre told the press that this 2010-11 NFL season would be his very last. However that's coming from the guy who's been saying he's going to retire since 2007. Yet this season may be his very last and week 14's game against the Buffalo Bills could have been his last, and there's still 3 games left in the season. In week 14 against the Buffalo Bills, Minnesota's 41-year old quarterback suffered a shoulder injury in the first quarter of the game, causing him to leave and not return for that game. Favre did not play last week against the New York Giants and is 'skeptical' about these last three games. Favre came back this season after having a great playoff run last year, losing to the Super Bowl Champions, the New Orleans Saints, expecting another season like that. Unfortunately for Favre and the Vikings, their season did not go as plan and they currently have a 5-8 record and are not looking at any playoff chances. Good try this season Favre, just wasn't enough.

It's A Two Man Race!

Its a really good race in the NFL for the MVP award this season. Two of the leagues best Quarterbacks are in the lead of the race, Tom Brady, #12 of the New England Patriots, and Michael Vick, #7 of the Philadelphia Eagles. Tom Brady, who is having a GREAT season, has a QB rating of 109.9 with 29 touchdown passes and 4 interceptions. As for Michael Vick who suffered an injury earlier this year is having a season to remember! With a QB rating of 104.3 with 17 passing touchdowns, 7 rushing touchdowns and 4 interceptions. Tom Brady led the Patriots to become the first NFL team this season to clinch a playoff berth with a record of 11-2, and Michael Vick has led the Eagles to a first place spot in the NFC East and a record of 9-4. Who do you think will get the MVP award?

No Trade, No Deal.

After a tough loss to a red hot New York Knicks, Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets, wants out of Denver and to the New York Knicks. Anthony told ESPN that he will not sign an extension unless he was traded to the Knicks. Carmelo was a free agent just this off season and there were rumors of him going to the New Jersey Nets. However, that did not happen and now Melo wants to be a Knick. Could we see Carmelo Anthony and early MVP candidate Amare Stoudemire teaming up here pretty soon?

Cam Gets Heisman!

Earlier today, December 11th, 2010 on ESPN the Heisman Award was awarded to Cameron Newton, Quarterback of the #1 ranked Auburn Tigers. Cam Newton finished the regular season with a QB rating of 188.2, 2,589 passing yards, 1,409 rushing yards, and 48 total TD's, both passing and rushing. Cam Newton led the Tigers to a 12-0 season, and a number one spot in the BCS Rankings and to the BCS Championship title game which is on January 10th 2011 in Glendale, Arizona. Congratulations on Cam Newton for winning the 75th awarded Heisman.

The Doc Is Back!

Dr. Dre has came back, and I must say, he's came out harder than expected. In this new track with Akon and long time friend Snoop Dogg, "Kush" off his new album Detox which is set to release in February of 2011, he just kills in the producing and lyrical settings. Dr. Dre has teamed up with other artist for his new album including Eminem, Jay-Z and a lot more. Welcome back Doc, we've missed you. Enjoy.

Who Gets Rookie?

We are now about a quarter through the NBA Season and it has been a great one. Veterans playing like veterans, sophomores improving from their rookie year, and as for rookie's, well its a great race. Blake Griffin (Far Left) of the Los Angeles Clippers is having a great season averaging 20.2 points and 11.80 rebounds a game this year. As for John Wall (Far Right) of the Washington Wizards he is averaging 17.4 points and 9.1 assist a game. Finally, Landry Fields (Bottom Middle) of the New York Knicks having a quiet but good season is averaging 10.4 points and 7.50 rebounds a game. Its going to be a great race and a great ending to the rookie class of the 2010-2011 NBA season. Who do you got?

Shocking Thriller In Indy!

The Dallas Cowboys coming off an exciting and close loss to the defending Super Bowl champions New Orleans Saints this past Thanksgiving day, travel to Indianapolis to take on a struggling Colts team. Peyton threw 4 interceptions last week against the Chargers were the Colts lost and threw 4 more this week. Although turnovers were a problem for Manning, the Colts still maintained to stay in the game and take it to overtime were David Buehler, kicker of the Dallas Cowboys, makes a 38 yard field goal to win the game for the Cowboys. Jason Garrett now moves his head coach record to 3-1 and moves the Dallas Cowboys team record to 4-8 and the Indianapolis Colts to 6-6. It was a very great game and the Cowboys held on in OT.

BCS Championship Matchup!

The #2Oregon Ducks came out with a win against Oregon State Beavers and the #1Auburn Tigers beat South Carolina to maintain their spots in the rankings. They will face off in the BCS Championship game held in Glendale, Arizona on January 10th 2011. It will be a very exciting game with both teams evenly matched. Its been a great season for both teams and they face for the first time this season for the biggest game in College Football.

Week 13 NFL Predictions.

Washington Redskins @ New York Giants:

I believe the New York Giants are one of the hottest teams in the NFC right now. I have them winning by 10.

Atlanta Falcons @ Tampa Bay Bucaneers:

I believe the Atlanta Falcons are a big threat in the NFC. I have them beating Tampa Bay by 7.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens:

I like the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC, I predict the Baltimore Ravens going to the Super Bowl. Therefore I have them winning this long time rivalry against Pittsburgh by 3.

New York Jets @ New England Patriots:

This is the game of week. Monday Night Football in Foxborough the 9-2 Jets face the 9-2 Patriots for the number one spot in the AFC East. Jets win this one by 3.

Most Anticipated Matchup?

Lebron James back in Cleveland to face the Cavaliers, or  Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles facing Andre Johnson and the Houston Texans on Thursday December 2nd? After making his decision to take his talents down to South Beach with the Miami Heat, James will return to face his old team and his old home back in Cleveland. Now would you consider that more exciting than possibly the most explosive offense in the NFL, the Philadelphia Eagles? Its all going down Thursday night, and they both will be an excitement to watch.

Jets v. Pats Collide On MNF.

On December 6th at Gillette Stadium possibly one of the best games of the year will be held. It will include the 9-2 Jets v. the 9-2 Patriots for the walk away first place in the AFC East. The Patriots have won 25 consecutive games at home, but the Jets have won 8 consecutive road games. Rex Ryan quotes, "It's the marquee game of the year" as many should agree. This is definitely going to come down to the wire but it definitely has the making of having Super Bowl energy in the building.
